Mercers Road

Mercers Road

This bold and beautiful kitchen features black-stained oak fronts and a Belgian blue limestone worktop.

To get the rustic and earthy wood finish our client was looking for in this kitchen, we tested numerous veneers and stains, making well over 100 samples before we found the perfect combination. We settled on using vintage oak veneer, cut from hundreds of years old oak beams, which has a wonderful character and particularly open grain. Brushing the grain opens it out further, allowing the warmth of the timber to shine through the dark stain.

Scroll down to also see the other joinery items we made, such as the stunning mid-century style shelving unit, and the traditional shaker wardrobes.
